Od ponad dekady, Polska jako kraj oraz jej obywatele jako osoby fizyczne czy też prawne, mają coraz szerszy dostęp do korzystania z funduszy unijnych na realizację przedsięwzięć związanych szeroko pojętym zagospodarowaniem przestrzeni. Wyniki analizy przykładów tzw. dobrych praktyk potwierdzają postawioną tezę, iż szeroko pojęta efektywność zrealizowanych przedsięwzięć zasadniczo różni się w segmencie przestrzeni publicznej w stosunku do realizacji projektów przez interesariuszy prywatnych. Ponad to widoczna jest wyraźna dwubiegunowość w modelowaniu zarówno przestrzeni publicznej jak i prywatnej na terenach miejskich w porównaniu do obszarów wiejskich.

Due to the pandemic, in the University of Palermo (Italy) the remote mode was used for both teaching and final exams. Specifically, our reflection aimed at understanding the impact of the online exams on the “private dimension” of the students. According to the regulations of the University of Palermo, during the exams, the students must be visible in their own space, while the teachers were allowed to insert different screens to protect their private space. The result was, for the students, the public sharing of their spaces, the collective insertion into their private dimension and the manifestation of individual differences and inequalities in access to resources. Private Space in Soviet Cinema: Case Study of Riga

Abstract The aim of this article is to discover the discourse of living spaces of Riga through the films of the Soviet period and to examine essential changes of private space in different residential structures. This study contributes to the field of human geography by conducting content analysis of a vast number of Soviet films with a focus on the development and spatial organization of apartments in Riga. The analysis of 264 films illustrates that living spaces are rarely portrayed in the Soviet cinema and they mostly provide intentionally formed idealistic information about the qualities and achievements of Soviet private space.
The Transformation of Private Space in the Later Middle Ages: Rooms and Living Standards in the Kingdom of Valencia (1280-1450)

This article undertakes a quantitative and qualitative analysis of probate inventories from a selection of towns and highly urbanized areas from the kingdom of Valencia in the period 1280-1460, which are used to explore the inner distribution of more than 300 housings. Agreeing with the historiographical statement that this period was one of general improvement as to living standards and housing, this article reveals Valencian dwellings were provided with more specialized rooms since the late fourteenth century. The author explores the relationships between the exterior world and the inner world in the diverse types of messages and reproducing products of the mass media, analyzing the cultural roots, the ideological, political, and social features that these relationships show. The different reproducing cultural forms create passages and virtual spaces which mediates the space to link it with the inner life.
